This is a 3-day small group face-to-face workshop on sinus lifts and block grafting for dental implants. The focus is on hands-on high-fidelity practical experience to introduce the general dental practitioner to advanced dental implant treatment.

Format:

  • 2 days of hands on experience on fresh frozen cadavers with 1 head shared between 2 delegates

  • A day of face to face seminars

  • 9 pre-course on demand webinars

  • 8 pre-course papers

The course is comprehensive with broad background information provided from an evidence-based and pragmatic perspective to allow practitioners to safely introduce these techniques into clinical practice.

Priority is given to delegates gaining hands-on experience of actual surgical procedures for themselves in a relaxed and supportive environment.

As the course is limited to a small group, we usually can adjust the content to meet individual learning requirements.

"This was a high-end course for experienced dentists/specialists looking for a comprehensive guide to sinus floor elevation/bone grafting. This was superior to other excellent courses I have attended in the past.”

Additional Information

  • This course is for users of any dental implant system.

  • This course is aimed at delegates who are largely confident with basic GBR procedures and suturing however we do have some flexibility to help consolidate these skills if required. If you feel you need to develop these skills more it may be worth attending the Refining Implant Strategies Course prior to the Cadaver Course - these courses link up well.

  • Osteotomes will be used for internal sinus lifts and handpieces and piezo units will be used for external sinus lifts.

  • The teaching is led by consultants in relevant specialties with supporting webinars from additional medico-legal and scientific experts. This is to provide context to the procedures from a clinical and practical standpoint to underpin the focus on surgical skills.

  • The course is limited to 10 delegates in order to maximise the learning experience.

The cadavers have been tested for all infectious diseases including Covid-19.

N.B. When signing up, please do sign up to the emailing list to allow straightforward communication regarding the course. You will be manually added to the emailing list if not. Please also note that you will be added to Straumann's mailing list when booking the course; you can of course unsubscribe at a later date.

Booking as a Pair

We recommend booking as a pair if possible as you will be sharing a head. Discounts can be provided to delegates booking as a pair - please contact for details. Nevertheless, the vast majority of delegates book as individuals and still report excellent experiences.
